I hadn’t heard of Blight: Survival prior to the trailer, but having watched it, for better or worse I’m already very hyped about this project. My excitement stems from everything this game could be. I can envisage a path where the devs are able to make a big return on their investment, while players enjoy a well-maintained and patched game that improves over time, and offers replayability thanks to gradually evolving your character. There’s a possibility that the game is self-contained per session, which would be a huge shame. I’m imagining having a character, who you customise, and they have a level / XP which you play to improve.
Ideally, I’d like to get Monster Hunter / Elden Ring vibes from the gearing and character development, and Diablo vibes from the loot drops and gear. If that turns out to be the case, then Blight is going to be a big deal.

Check out the five-minute gameplay reveal trailer for Blight: Survival, a third-person cinematic action-adventure survival game that its developers describe as an “action-horror roguelite” – with four-player co-op as well. A new blight is raising the dead, and you’ll use your choice of medieval weapons and warfare to stop it. Wishlist it on Steam.

The hype is already percolating upon release of this trailer; a teaser if ever you’ve seen one. New threads are popping up on the game’s Steam Discussions page, which reveals player’s hopes for the game:

Fingers crossed Blight: Survival turns out to be the success story that it could potentially be!
