Diablo IV: It’s Coming! (CROSSPLAY)

Blizzard are the kings of cinematics…the Diablo 4 2019 Cinematic Trailer is dark, gothic, bathed in tones of blood-red and almost crosses into Geiger-esque artwork. Colour me hyped – I’ve been into this horror aesthetic since being a wee lad watching the likes of Alien. Enough word entrails, enjoy this taught-skin draped across a demonic shape of a visual experience (or avoid it if you’re squeamish!).

Since 2019, fast-forward to 2022 and we have confirmation of Crossplay in Diablo IV. It may have a wobbly-start, but with attentive bug-fixes, this could be incredible.

On Friday, Blizzard confirmed at the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase 2022 that Diablo IV would feature cross-play and cross-progression across all the platforms it will be supporting, including Windows PC, and Xbox One X and S, Xbox One X and S, and PlayStation 4 and 5.

This is truly a necessary step in the right direction, given the nature of Diablo’s gameplay, it’s exactly what we need to be able to enjoy our Hell-escapades with as many people as possible. Since the game works extremely well with mouse and keyboard, as well as controller, and now seemingly touch screen as well given the success of Diablo Immortal – there’s simply no reason to hold back the potential swathes of players eager to party up and take some demon ass. Kick some demon ass.
