A vault dweller’s paradise.
The Fallout Classic Collection, which contains the original Fallout, Fallout Tactics and Fallout 2, is only available on PC, but players who bought the game on PS4 or Xbox One will also be granted entitlements to download the collection through Bethesda.net on PC. The steps to install the collection are as follows:
- Step 1: Download and run the Bethesda Launcher for PC
- Step 2: Sign in to Bethesda.net with your account credentials
- Step 3: Install the Fallout Classic Collection titles from the Games menu
Interestingly, none of the games included in the collection were developed by Bethesda, as Fallout 3 was the first game in the series made by Bethesda after it bought the franchise from the failing Interplay Entertainment.
In the same blog post, Bethesda announced that its latest Fallout 76 patch (which includes over 150 fixes) is coming to PC today and to consoles early next week. This staggered release is so the team can make further adjustments to the patch prior to releasing it on consoles. Bethesda has released full patch notes for this latest update.
To see how some of these original Fallout games stack up against Bethesda’s entries, check out every IGN Fallout Review. Specifically, in our review of Fallout 76, we called the game “Mediocre” saying “The rich wasteland map of Fallout 76 is wasted on a mess of bugs, conflicting ideas, and monotony.”
