Alisa, an esteemed agent of the elite royal force, is in pursuit of a well-known thief in a captivating world that bears resemblance to the 1920s. However, her pursuit takes an unexpected turn when she is abruptly transported to a peculiar Victorian mansion. This eerie abode is inhabited by peculiar mechanical dolls, and Alisa finds herself trapped in a disorienting reality. Her main objective becomes clear: to survive and find a way to escape. Yet, she must navigate this unsettling situation without losing her own essence in the process.
Top Hat Studios, Inc., a renowned publisher and expert porting studio, along with developer Casper Croes, is delighted to announce the highly anticipated worldwide release of the cult-classic 90’s homage survival horror game, Alisa, on consoles. This long-awaited release is scheduled for February 6th, 2024, and will be available on various platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and the Xbox family of consoles.
Alisa has garnered a devoted following among retro gaming enthusiasts who appreciate its low-poly graphics and survival horror elements. The game pays homage to the style of gaming seen on the PS1 and N64, featuring pre-rendered backgrounds and a resolution of 480p (with the possibility of rendering in an even more impressive 240p currently being explored). Additionally, Alisa incorporates fixed camera angles to further capture the nostalgic essence of the era.
To cater to player preferences, Alisa offers the choice between classic tank controls or modern control styles within the game, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable gaming experience.
Alisa was first created using Unity 5, an older version of the engine. To make the game work on modern consoles, the developers had to use new technology. The game is the same on all platforms and the porting team is proud of the final product. This Developer’s Cut includes all updates and new content from the PC version, along with many fixes and improvements.
